Philippe E. Berthoud

Philippe E. Berthoud is a Financial Advisor, a Registered Representative and a Limited Partner of United Planners Financial Services. He holds Series 7, 63, 65 and 24 securities licenses, and is licensed for life and health insurance in Massachusetts and several other states. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and has a distinctive focus on IRAs and retirement planning management.

Philippe joined The Retirement Financial Center in the fall of 2006 and gained valuable experience through the 2008 stock market crisis and ensuing “Great Recession.” Philippe is a proponent of “Comprehensive Financial Planning” and “bucket investing” (diversified investments) to reach your goals.

As a partner at the Retirement Financial Center he has served in various capacities including financial planning and advice, portfolio research and construction, trading and compliance. He has taught many financial planning related classes and assisted clients in many aspects of pre-retirement, retirement and legacy planning.

Philippe has a diversified cultural background and work experience. He grew up in Aix-en-Provence, France. He graduated from Gordon College, played soccer professionally and served as a Sports Minister after college. Philippe founded and ran a non-profit soccer organization and coached soccer at the collegiate level before transitioning to financial planning. Over his career he has developed strong management, business, and leadership skills.

Philippe and his wife Elizabeth live on the North Shore. They have four children college age and older. Philippe enjoys watching sports, coaching, cooking, French wine, hiking and foraging, history and travel.

William E. Riquier

William E. Riquier is a Registered Representative of United Planners Financial Services, holding Series 7 and 66 licenses. He is also a licensed life and health insurance producer in Massachusetts.

Bill has extensive experience in various Analyst roles, providing senior corporate management with the intelligence capabilities they need for decision making, performance appraisal and report development.

In the wake of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, Bill also performed testing and auditing of corporate financial controls for publicly traded companies in the Boston area. CFOs and Controllers from a number of local companies relied on Bill’s work to ensure they had the proper systems in place to prevent and detect serious errors and fraud.

Bill has his Bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and his MBA from Boston University. He lives on the North Shore with his wife Margaret and their two daughters.
