Scott Johnson is head of Retirement Plan Services at The Retirement Financial Center in Danvers, MA, a financial services firm established in 1970 by Thomas T. Riquier, CFP®, CLU. Scott came to the financial services industry in 2000 after a lengthy domestic and international career with Cargill, Inc., primarily working as a commodities trader for various agricultural and petroleum products. Shortly after Scott’s arrival, Tom Riquier established the investment advisory service as investment advisor representatives of United Planners Financial Services. Current total assets under management are approximately $150 million, with about $85 million in the advisory service.

In addition to a life-long interest in business, Scott has experienced first-hand the deficiencies present in many retirement plans. He believes a good retirement plan protects the owner’s/employer’s interests through good fiduciary processes, while efficiently providing employees with necessary education and guidance. Good plan design can enhance business objectives. Well selected investments and appropriate advice can help foster individual success.

Retirement plans can reduce taxes and help build significant wealth for retirement or other strategies.

Unlike many retirement plan representatives, Scott can become a fiduciary to your retirement plan. He has a vested interest in your success. He can work with the plan you have or recommend another plan that is more suited to your requirements.
